Crow Quill Pen – Amazon
Copaiba Oil – Amazon
Aniseed Oil – Amazon
Empty Dropper Bottle (I buy them by the dozen because I fill them with my various mediums) – Amazon
Oil recipe for oil used to mix with P1 enamel for writing with the pen. The oil mixture works best for writing because a very fine line can be achieved.
Mix 3pt Copaiba Oil with 1pt Anise Oil (measured by volume). Store the mixture in a dropper bottle and use just a drop or two of the mixture with finely ground enamel (P1 or Sunshine Enamels or Mason Stains) to get a very fine line.
Polishing Enamels
3M Dual Lock Grinding Disks from HIS Glassworks (for shaping the enamels once they’re filled to the tops of the wires)
Miscellaneous
Cookie Decorating Turntable (what I put my pieces on as I work): Amazon
Use 1/4” little wood strips (from a hardware or craft store) to act as supports. Affix them to the turntable with reusable adhesive (Blu-Tack) This makes it easy to support the enamel as well as easily lift it to place on a trivet. Amazon
Saral Paper (For tracing more complex designs onto a piece) Amazon
